BARTLETT
TELEVISION PRODUCTIONS WINS TELLY AWARD Rochester, NY, April 18, 2003 - Dave Bartlett, of Bartlett Television Productions, has won a prestigious Bronze Telly Award for 2003. The award was given for Dave's exciting DP Demo Reel, which highlights some of his best work over the last 2-3 years. The 2 minute demo reel features a fast paced variety of videography including handheld, jibarm and dolly, indoor and outdoor, dramatic lighting and beautiful nature scenes. Some of the footage is from his work as a production videographer at WOKR-TV in Rochester, while other footage is from various independent projects with Bartlett Television Productions. "I'm thrilled to be honored with a
Telly award for my Demo Reel. I wanted to make a reel
that not only shows what to expect from me, but also to
be a great production itself.. As always, creating images
is the most important part of what I do, so my reel
concentrates on showing lots of them, with an exciting
fast pace," said Dave Bartlett, who also edited the
reel. The Telly Awards were created to honor and give
recognition to outstanding non-network television
commercials, videos, and films. Entries are not
judged against each other. Instead, past winners
judge the entries based on individual merit. The Silver
Telly statuette is the most prestigious of the Telly
awards, awarded to only 7-10 percent of the more than
10,000 entries nationwide each year, while the Bronze
Telly is awarded to about 14-18% of applicants. In
winning this award, Bartlett Television Productions joins
the ranks of previous high-profile winners, including
Walt Disney Studios, Dreamworks SKG, and Discovery
Channel. Dave Bartlett's DP Demo Reel, which is frequently updated with fresh material, can be seen at: www.videopro.us/demoreel.html .
